I've haven't been photographing for as long as a lot of people, but I know it's my passion. I know because I'll walk around and just stop in my tracks, and if I don't have my camera, I'll go get it. Thunderstorms excite me. Fires, horrible weather or conflict draw me when others stay inside or get away. If there's beautiful light, I'll find a picture somehow because I won't let it fade away. After going to school and living with this constant urge to document, capture, and show what I see through the lens for over a year now, I'm slowly learning this is truly more than a passion, it's a love affair with life, and the pictures are endlessly ever-present.
This is my attempt to share my photographic knowledge, inspiration, experiences and progressing work as a photographer to anyone interested. I"m currently going to school for photojournalism at Ohio University, but this blog will be mostly about photography in general - and how this passion of mine blends into my life. Enjoy.

Sometimes Pictures Haunt you.
The photo below isn't the greatest photo in the world and a lot of people will probably just think, so what? But I'm posting this photo for one reason - it's been driving me crazy ever since summer started. I really really like simplicity in my photos. For some reason things like a leaf on ground, or a picture hanging all by itself draws my eye - I don't know why it is and I can't explain it, I guess I'm just a minimalist inside and out. But ever since I got home, I saw these spice holders on the top of my oven lit by the tungsten light and I kept thinking, "Take that Picture!" but I kept neglecting it, saying, it will be there tomorrow. But finally, I broke down and took it.
